Chaymaa Berkia.

Chaymaa Berkia, born in 1997, studied law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, specialising in European and German antitrust and competition law, as well as private international law and procedural law. Whilst still a student, she gained practical experience as a research assistant at a law firm in Mainz, working in the areas of insolvency law and banking and capital markets law.

She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Wiesbaden. During this time, she worked as a research assistant at a major international law firm in Frankfurt in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution department, where she also completed her legal training placements. She undertook her elective placement with a renowned criminal defence lawyer specialising in white-collar crime in Frankfurt.

Before joining SCHULTE RECHTSANWÄLTE, she worked as a legal adviser for a parliamentary group in the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament. She has been part of the antitrust team at SCHULTE RECHTSANWÄLTE since August 2025 and is admitted to the Bar at the Frankfurt am Main Bar Association.
