About Dr. Christoph Peter:

Merger control is a key area of Christoph Peter’s advisory practice. This encompasses both national and European merger control, as well as the management and coordination of multi-jurisdictional proceedings. Antitrust fine proceedings at European level (e.g. window fittings, paraffin waxes) or national level (e.g. coffee, automotive, building materials) form another key focus. The firm prioritises providing efficient advice that ensures the client remains in control of the proceedings. Finally, Mr Peter has extensive experience in the development and implementation of bespoke compliance programmes.

Christoph Peter is a trustee of the FIW – Forschungsinstitut für Wirtschaftsverfassung und Wettbewerb e.V. (Research Institute for Economic Constitution and Competition) and is currently also one of the two people responsible for the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main regional group of the Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V. (Antitrust Law Study Association). Furthermore, he was a founding member and board member of the Kartellrechtsforum Frankfurt e.V. (Frankfurt Antitrust Law Forum) and is chairman of the board of the Förderverein Hof Armada e.V. (Hof Armada Support Association) of the Knettenbrech Foundation.

Biography:

Christoph Peter, born in 1971, studied law at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. During his legal training, he worked for the Bavarian Representation to the European Commission in Brussels. After completing his doctorate at the University of Regensburg, he undertook a postgraduate course in International Business Law in London. Mr Peter then spent almost three years working in the corporate law department of a major international law firm before joining the antitrust practice at SCHULTE LAWYERS. in 2003. He has been a partner at the firm since 2006.

Christoph Peter has been the managing director of the firm since April 2017.
